Child Care Resource and Referral of Swainsboro Tech to Offer Child Abuse Workshop

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia of Swainsboro Technical College will offer a class on Child Abuse Awareness on Thursday, August 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Laurens County DFCS Office on 904 Claxton Dairy Road in Dublin.

The workshop will cover Georgia law; state rules and regulations; reporting procedures; signs and symptoms of physical, emotional, sexual abuse and neglect. There will also be a discussion on how to meet the needs of suspected abused children and communication with parents and staff.

The classes are being offered to regulated and unregulated child care providers, and participants will receive two State-accepted credit hours. Pre-registration is required by August 20. A registration fee of $5.00 is required, and childcare is not provided.

CCR&R Services of Swainsboro Tech to Offer Infectious Childhood Diseases Workshop

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia at Swainsboro Technical College will conduct an Infectious Childhood Diseases workshop on Tuesday, August 26, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Ogeechee Technical College Evans Center located on 107 N Duval Street in Claxton. 

Information will be provided on the symptoms of contagious diseases, illness policies, exclusion policies, medication, cleaning and disinfecting, and universal precautions. Regulated and unregulated child care providers will receive two State-accepted credit hours for this workshop.
