offers a Free Workshop for Child Care Providers

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia at Swainsboro Technical College in collaboration with the Heart of Georgia Healthy Start Coalition is offering a free workshop How to Support Breastfeeding in a Child Care Center workshop from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, at the Senior Center located at 420 Peacock Street in Cochran.

In this course, child care providers will learn the benefits of breastfeeding for the child care center, the infant, and the mother. They will learn how to handle mother's milk in the child care setting and ways to prepare mothers to pump, store, and transport mother's milk. They will also learn how to make a child care center breastfeeding-friendly.
