Child Care Resource and Referral of Swainsboro Tech to Offer CPR/First Aid/Fire Safety Workshop

  The Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia of Swainsboro Technical College will conduct classes in CPR/First Aid and Fire Safety on Saturday, August 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m at the Swainsboro Technical College Candler County Center located at 25 West Daniel Street in Metter.  These classes are for child care providers and/or anyone interested in attending. 

 The cost is $40 per participant for CPR/First Aid class and $30 per participant for the Fire Safety class. Pre-registration is required by July 31, and childcare will not be provided.

CCR&R Agency of Swainsboro Tech to Offer ‘This Small Space’ Workshop

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia of Swainsboro Technical College will conduct a ‘This Small Space’ workshop on Monday, August 11, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Montgomery County Library located at 215 S Railroad Ave in Mt. Vernon. 

The workshop will provide information to providers about how to arrange different centers within their facility to promote learning and play among children. Also, ideas for activities in each of the centers will be discussed.  Providers will receive two State-accepted credit hours for this workshop.

This workshop is Free. Pre-registration is required by August 8, and child care will not be provided.

CCR&R to Sponsor Community Baby Shower

Child Care Resource and Referral Agency of East Central Georgia at Swainsboro will hold a Community Baby Shower for new and expectant parents on Thursday, August 14, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Meadows Wellness Center located at 101 Harris Industrial Blvd. in Vidalia.

Educational information and freebies will be given to those in attendance from the variety of booths at this event, and the first 100 participants will receive goody bags containing an assortment of resources and materials on parenting issues.  Also, those in attendance will be entered into drawings for door prizes that will be given away at the event.  The Community Baby Shower is open to the public and is designed for new and expectant parents. The event is free, and food and door prizes will be provided.
