Health and Safety and School Age Care Workshops

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia at Swainsboro Technical College will conduct a Health and Safety workshop from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m and a School Age Care workshop from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m on Saturday, October 18, at the Laurens County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) office located at 904 Claxton Dairy Road in Dublin.

The Health and Safety workshop focuses on the regulation requirements for health and safety issues in child care environments.  The School Age Care workshop focuses on the developmental characteristics of school-age children, tips for planning activities, and suggestions on school age equipment/materials.

Child Care Resource and Referral

to Offer Positive Guidance Workshop

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia at Swainsboro Technical College is offering a two-hour workshop on Positive Guidance from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, at the Jeff Davis EMA building located at 200 Jeff Davis Street in Hazlehurst.

The training will cover areas such as these: communicating with children, dealing with difficult children, promoting positive behavior, and improving understanding while learning to effectively deal with children.  The registration fee is $8.00, and pre-registration is required by Oct 16. Childcare is not provided, and participants will receive two state-accepted hours.
