CCR&R Services of Swainsboro Tech to Offer Curriculum Workshop

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia of Swainsboro Technical College will conduct a Curriculum Workshop on Monday, October 8, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Tattnall County DFCS office on 117 North Main Street in Reidsville.

Information will be provided on planning a scaffolding lesson plan based on developmentally appropriate practices for any home or center environment for children ages 3 months through 13 years. This three-hour session also covers information on using assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of the plans and activities. Regulated and unregulated day care providers will receive three State accepted credit hours for attending this workshop.

  CCR&R Services of Swainsboro Tech To Offer ‘Infectious Childhood Diseases’ Workshop

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia of Swainsboro Technical College will conduct a ‘Infectious Childhood Diseases’ workshop on Tuesday, October 16 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Laurens Co. DFCS office located at 904 Claxton Dairy Road in Dublin.

The workshop will provide information on the symptoms of contagious diseases, illness policies, exclusion policies, medication, cleaning and disinfecting, and universal precautions. Regulated and unregulated day care providers will receive 2 State accepted hours of credit for this workshop.

The workshop is free and pre-registration is required by October 11. Child care will not be provided.

  Swainsboro Tech CCR&R Offers Health and Safety Workshop for Childcare Providers

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia of Swainsboro Technical College is offering a Health and Safety Workshop on Monday, October 22, at the Bethany Home located at 1305 East North Street in Vidalia.

The workshop will focus on the regulation requirements for health and safety issues in child care environments. Participants will receive three State accepted hours.

CCR&R of Swainsboro Tech Offers Training on Temperament Traits for Toddlers

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia of Swainsboro Technical College will offer Temperament Traits of Toddlers on Monday, October 22, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  The training will be held at the Wheeler Community Center located at 203 West Forest Avenue in Alamo.

This workshop will discuss what temperament traits toddlers have and the effects on themselves as well as others around them. This fee for this workshop in $5.00, and pre-registration is required by October 17.  Childcare will not be provided.

Interested in Becoming a Family Child Care Provider?

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia at Swainsboro Technical College in conjunction with Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning will offer a free Registration Orientation Meeting (ROM) for people interested in becoming a registered family child care provider. It will be held on Friday, October 26, in Dublin at the Laurens County Public Library from 9:45 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. Participants will receive information about the registration application process as well as the rules and regulations for family child care.

If you enjoy working with children on a daily basis and understand the importance of early care and learning, then a career in child care may be for you.
