Pictured: Ellen Hendrix Ellen Hendrix Named Swainsboro Technical College Nursing Instructor Jessie Garrett, Interim Vice President of Instruction at Swainsboro Technical College, announced that Ellen Hendrix has been named as Swainsboro Technical College’s Nursing Instructor as of January 11, 2007. Mrs. Hendrix is a graduate of Bleckley County High School, has a LPN Certificate from Heart of Georgia Technical College, and a RN Diploma from Middle Georgia College. Mrs. Hendrix lives in Swainsboro with her husband Hugh, an accountant with Turner and Jones CPA. They have two children, six month old twins Jocie and Allie. Prior to working at Swainsboro Technical College, Mrs. Hendrix worked as the Public Health Nurse for the Candler County Health Department "We feel that Ellen will be a real asset to our staff of nursing instructors," commented Mrs. Garrett. "I look forward to working with her." |

CCR&R of Swainsboro Tech Offers Free Training on Temperament Traits for Toddlers Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia of Swainsboro Technical College will offer Temperament Traits of Toddlers training to providers and parents on Thursday, January 22, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The training will be held in the Montgomery Public Library on 215 South Railroad Street in Mt. Vernon. This workshop will discuss what temperament traits toddlers have and the effects on themselves as well as others around them. This workshop is free and pre-registration is required by January 16. Childcare is not provided. The classes are being offered to regulated and unregulated childcare providers and participants will receive three State accepted credits. Child Care Resource and Referral of Swainsboro Tech to Offer Parent Involvement Workshop Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia of Swainsboro Technical College will conduct a workshop titled ‘Parent Involvement’ on Wednesday, January 17, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. This workshop will be held at the Appling County Community Center on 305 Harvey Street in Baxley. This workshop will provide information to parents and child care providers on different parenting styles, temperament traits in children, and being aware of cultural difference when working with children and their families. This workshop is open to the public. This is a free workshop and pre-registration is required by Monday, January 15. Child care is not provided.
